A Snapshot of Your Day

In our multicultural HVDC Control team you will design, implement and verify innovative open and closed loop control systems for HVDC applications in cooperation with the project management, system and equipment designers as well as customers.
First you will create a concept for a HVDC control function and you will implement it using MATLAB/SIMULINK. Next step is to run automated tests using our software-in-the-loop (SIL) test environment followed by integration in the hardware-in-the-loop test setup. Together with your colleagues you will verify the function integrated in the whole control and protection system.
You will share your knowledge by creating documentation and performing trainings with colleagues as well as customers.

How You’ll Make an Impact
Design of open and closed loop control systems for high voltage direct current systems (HVDC)
Implementation of control software in MATLAB/SIMULINK as well as verification using software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test environments
Clarification of technical requirements within project teams as well as with customers and suppliers
Preparation of design specifications, documentation, trainings and effort estimations
Remote support during commissioning and after-sales service of HVDC systems
What You Bring
University degree in electrical engineering with focus on energy and control technology and first professional experience
Good knowledge in converter- and high voltage technology as well as in open and closed loop controls
Good MATLAB/SIMULINK knowledge including model-based implementation and verification
Experience in the configuration of automation systems, preferably SIMATIC TDC / S7
Very good English language skills, German language skills are of advantage
